The Ski Club of Great Britain’s annual Snowsports Analysis found that 1.35 million Britons took to the slopes last year, representing a three per cent increase on last year.
Furthermore, the number of people making their bookings with a tour operator is also on the up, which could indicate that people are opting to book with Atol-protected agents in case of an airline collapse.
Commenting on the report, Caroline Stuart-Taylor, chief executive of the Ski Club, said: “We are not surprised that the overall snowsports market has risen again after an excellent snow year and the continued resilience of the snowsports market.”
France was named as the most popular ski break destination, with the country commanding a 43 per cent share of the market.
