Nendaz ski area in the Swiss 4 Valleys region will run special ski school classes for children this winter which will help to encourage them to look after the environment.
“Children are the future of our planet, the messengers of change. The “your life, your planet” concept proposes activities to gain safety awareness (your life) during leisure activities and respect for the environment (your planet).” said a resort statement.
The innovative concept is being developed by Neige Aventure, one of the ski schools in Nendaz with the aim of making protecting the environment and being careful on the slopes, “child’s play”. This concept is proposed by the ski school.
The course is usually run over four half days and includes eco-friendly themed leaflets and games to learn about the environment and mountain safety in a fun way. Children will also enjoy a one day excursion in the 4 Vallées.
The course costs 180 Swiss Francs per child which excludes equipment rental although free helmets are available.
